Enough About Me...Let's Talk About Jew! is an original one man cultural comedy created and performed by Jeremie Bracka which satirises and parodies the unique Australian émigré culture through farce, vaudeville cabaret and monologue. Spanning three generations and four distinct ethnicities; Polish, Egyptian, Israeli and Hungarian, Enough About Me...Let's Talk About Jew! is both a provocative commentary on ethnic insularity and a celebration of Australian diversity and multi-culturalism.
This show is an autobiographical journey through Jeremie's archetypal Jewish upbringing by a Polish Mother and Egyptian Father. As good Jewish parents, they demanded nothing more than Jeremie's enrolment in Law at his circumcision.
The show is directed by Rachel Forgasz, creator and performer of the sell-out Mid-summa festival hit show My Life as a Dyke.
Jeremie Bracka has performed widely in the Jewish community and trained professionally as an actor at the National Theatre, St Kilda. His last show Lox, Shmocks and Two Smoking Salmons enjoyed sold out seasons at FortyFive Downstairs (2005), Theatre Works (2006), NIDA Parade Studio (2006 Sydney) and The Raye Freedman Arts Centre, Auckland (2006).
Alongside Jewish Comedy, Jeremie has fulfilled his mothers dream by graduating from Law at Monash University.
